Don’t Confuse The Gospel Lest We Loose It’s Biblical Meaning

The message of the Bible is really quite simple in regards to sin, death, life eternal, and indeed human history. 

1. God will reward those who seek after Him. Hebrews 11:6, “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”

2. Jesus is the only way through which you can ultimately seek after God. John 14:6, Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

3. To follow Jesus is to give up all “rights” to yourself. Mark 8:34, “And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”

4. If we commit our path to Jesus, we will seek to keep His commandments. John 14:15, If you love me, you will keep my commandments.”

5. Jesus has given to those of us who follow Him, the Holy Spirit to empower us to live in righteousness John 14:16-17, “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth….”

6. When all of this life is complete, He will give us eternal life with the Father and the Son. John 14:2-3, “In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. “
